As one of the leading poultry brands in the U.S., Smart Chicken took advantage of Signal’s mobile and cross channel feature set to promote a holiday recipe near the point of sale at 140 retail locations. The brand created recipe cards, which in turn could serve as a shopping list, that also featured Quick Response (QR) codes, in addition to a text for info call to action. The QR code and text message interaction could be used to view a Signal-managed and mobile optimized landing page with a link to a professionally produced video hosted on YouTube, in which a chef provides step by step directions on producing the recipe.
The offer, printed materials, point of sale signage and Signal, worked in concert to drive both engagement and a significantly measurable increase in sales. Marketers desiring similar results should consider employing Signal to transform static product packaging into an interactive experience.
